COLLAPSUS nominee Digital Emmy

The Dutch production COLLAPSUS is nominated for an International Digital Emmy Award in the category of Best Digital Fiction Program. It is the first time that a production from the Netherlands has been nominated for this prestigious prize. The sixth edition of the International Digital Emmy Awards will take place during the opening night of MIPTV on Monday April 4, 2011 in Cannes.

COLLAPSUS is developed by SubmarineChannel.com in co-production with Dutch television broadcaster VPRO Tegenlicht.

COLLAPSUS is an online thriller in which film, rotoscope animation, documentary and interactivity are combined to offer a new experience. Through the different characters in COLLAPSUS the player is provided with a deeper insight into complex issues surrounding global energy politics. These issues can be explored by viewing the story of the thriller, accessing additional information, or playing a mini-game.

COLLAPSUS is also nominated for the Interactive Awards, in the category TV/Film, and the People’s Choice Award at the SXSW Festival which takes place March 11 to 20 in Austin, Texas.
