The Belgian/Dutch co-production OXYGEN, directed by Hans van Nuffel (NL production company: Lemming Film), has won a European Film Award. During the Award Ceremony on Saturday December 3, the film received the European Film Award in the category European Discovery 2011 – Prix FIPRESCI. OXYGEN has been screened and awarded at various film festivals worldwide, among others at Montreal, Karlovy Vary and Palm Springs.
OXYGEN is about two brothers who suffer from cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease that slowly destroys their lungs. It’s a drama about having little time and not wanting to miss out on anything.
